CREATE EFFECTIVE NOTIFICATIONS

Engagement with your Insiders happens through two key features:

  1. Push Notifications Exclusive mobile alerts merchants send directly to their Insider’s mobile device.
  2. Messages – Chat conversations initiated by either an Insider or the merchant.

You can choose between labeling your push notification as either a promotional or informational notice. Here are some examples of both:

PROMOTIONAL

  • Offer discounts or reduced prices
  • Post sales announcements
  • Announce special events and demonstrations
  • Notify about promotions with other brands
  • Celebrate new inventory or arrivals

INFORMATIONAL

  • Inform about new store hours
  • Post job opportunities
  • Warn about road construction
  • Send alerts about limited availabilities

We recommend these best practices when creating and sending offers: 

  • Exclusivity – Notices sent to your Insiders should contain offers and information reserved for your ShopLoyal Insiders only, NOT published or available to your general customer base or posted anywhere else.
  • Frequency – You should send between 1-3 notices per week to engage the customer without overwhelming them.
  • Duration – Short expiration dates create urgency, which encourages your Insiders to keep an eye on your push notifications. However, do give Insiders enough time to act upon your notices. We recommend 1 week as a good time frame for notice duration.

Since there’s a limited number of characters for each push notification message, make sure every word counts by using action-oriented hooks that customers actually want to see. See our suggested keywords.
